White Cap Senior HRIS Workday Analyst in Virtual, Georgia

Job Summary

Maintains the design, configuration, and administration of one or more human resources systems. Consults with the organization on system processes, efficiencies, and usability.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Configures and implements business process upgrades and system enhancements, leads testing and data validations, maintains data integrity, and ensures that overall system performance is aligned with business objectives.

  • Works closely with internal stakeholders to gather and define system requirements, provide recommendations, document changes for change control purposes, design and implement solutions, and ensure ease of use and user adoption.

  • Prepares and edits reports and user-friendly dashboards to make proactive and solution-driven business recommendations.

  • Creates, reviews, and participates in scheduled functional testing for system fixes, upgrades, patches, and maintenance.

  • Owns security access and functionality in assigned systems. Guides and teaches business users on system functionality to achieve maximum value and output. Champions and communicates system changes and benefits.

  • Partners with information technology teams to understand and prepare for integrations, migrations, uploads, and upgrades.

  • Develops and drives ongoing system strategies, identifies best practices, and evaluates and recommends new technologies.

Nature and Scope

  • Identifies key barriers/core problems and applies problem solving skills in order to deal creatively with complex situations. Troubleshoots and resolves complex problems. Makes decisions under conditions of uncertainty, sometimes with incomplete information, that produce effective end results.

  • Independently performs assignments with instruction limited to the expected results. Determines and develops an approach to solutions. Receives technical guidance only on unusual or complex problems or issues.

  • May oversee the completion of projects and assignments, including planning, assigning, monitoring and reviewing progress and accuracy of work, evaluating results, etc. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5-8 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 3-5 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications

This position requires a self-motivated and energetic individual with solid business analysis capability who can meet the challenges of a fast-paced, agile environment and be comfortable with change. Prior HR systems knowledge and experience is required, specifically configuring or managing Workday HCM. The successful candidate will collaborate across multiple locations and cross-functional teams.

  • Experience with performing complex Workday system configurations and set-up activities to support business requirements

  • Serves as Workday subject matter expert and applies knowledge to recommend and maintain effective system utilization and accuracy. Key point of contact for one or more Workday modules including HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, Time and Absence, Talent/Performance.

  • Expertly writes advanced reports and dashboards using Report Writer and Discovery Boards

  • Experience working with integrations across applications and 3rd party vendors

  • Strong data/statistical analysis skills and a keen focus on data quality, creative problem solving and troubleshooting required.

  • Acts as a liaison between Information Technology and the HR functional teams

  • Develop and maintain metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to support the business needs and provide data management upon request. Experience with People Analytics a plus.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite and data management required. Demonstrates advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including use of advanced formulas, v-lookups and pivot tables.

  • Requires 3-5 years of experience with the full Workday ecosystem
