White Cap is incredibly proud of its flagship Career Development Program (CDP), which gives new or near graduates the opportunity to gain diversified experience in Operations, Sales and Leadership roles.

CDP is in its 10th consecutive year of building a strong talent pipeline of future field leaders throughout the business. With a successful track record of developing top talent in our industry, the Career Development Program has become part of our thriving culture!

Over the years, we have centralized the (12-18 month) program and enhanced the curriculum/experience. CDP is a cross-functional program that develops employees for future roles as successful leaders, accomplished outside sales professionals, and key operations personnel.

CDP participants will experience:

  • Rotational assignments in various segments of the branch business with on-the-job training
  • Inclusive career experience with dedicated resources to ensure a successful long-term career path at White Cap
  • Tailored learning curriculum with leadership development sessions, operations training, and systems training focused on developing CDPs as future leaders
  • A robust support system is another benefit of being part of the program; each CDP will be assigned a Regional Champion, Mentor, and additional process coaches to ensure they receive the best training White Cap has to offer
  • Exposure to Senior Leadership at White Cap throughout the program
  • Capstone, cross-functional projects that will be presented to White Cap leadership, creating exposure for you across the company
