Job Summary

Manage designated areas of Warehouse Operation, oversee functional areas, and perform manager’s duties as assigned. Responsible for consistent application of SOPs (Standard Operating Policies) and associate administration in the facility. Coordinates all rental activities in an assigned region. Supports telephone and walk-in customers with construction and industrial equipment rentals. Verifies that equipment is inspected before and after rental and ensures all equipment is ready for rental.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Trains staff to ensure attainment of department performance goals

Manages and ensures successful achievement of performance goals of assigned functional areas.

Controls warehouse expenses.

Ensures compliance with all personnel policies.

Ensures a safe working environment for all associates including surveying facility for repair and maintenance items, promoting and managing safety programs; ensuring policy adherence for worker’s compensation and general liability issues.

Ensures the Asset Protection and Hazmat programs are enforced.

Opens and closes the distribution center, authorizes refunds, and handles customer problems.

May act as manager and performs other duties as assigned.

Processes regional rental orders. Bills customers and processes rental returns. Maintains files on all rental jobs.

Manages re-rent purchase orders and the reconciliation of accounts payable invoices for re-rents.

Handles cycle counts and inventory asset conversions for all rental products.

Ensures inventory is repaired and maintained. Monitors rental transactions to track lost or stolen equipment.

Provides support to Account Managers regarding rental equipment. Communicates problems to sales representatives and customers, such as shortages, delivery issues, and damages.

Responds to customer issues and escalates concerns as needed.

Offers guidance and feedback to Rental Coordinators.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Problems are typically difficult and/or high impact. Troubleshoots complex support or operational problems for junior level associates.

  • Under limited supervision, independently resolves issues and applies a variety of methods to develop customized solutions. May lead the daily operations of a department or team. Work typically involves infrequent review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process.

  • Assists with supervisory duties but does not have hiring/firing authority. Trains, delegates tasks, and reviews the work of junior level associates.

  • May modify processes to resolve situations.

  • Under limited supervision, relies on experience and exercises independent judgment to determine the best approach to achieve desired outcomes. Course of action is often determined by interpreting procedures and policies. Work typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor or direct customers of the process.

  • Is sought out and/or assigned to provide general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior level support personnel. Contributes to employees' professional development but does not have hiring/firing authority.
