Job Summary

Responsible for playing a crucial role in leading a team of Sales Specialists, driving sales growth, and price/margin management. Provide expertise in coaching, analyzing data, and implementing corporate-driven strategic initiatives to improve team performance and contribute to the company's growth.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Own commercial performance of a team of Sales Specialists. Set clear performance objectives and sales targets for team members. Provide weekly coaching to team members leveraging KPIs to improve individual and team performance. Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement improvement plans when necessary. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to maximize team productivity and morale. Ensure adherence to company sales policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.

Execute assigned business strategies with the objective of maximizing sales and profit growth. Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry trends and end markets. Action leads provided by other departments to drive growth.

Oversee the management and optimization of sales pipeline. Monitor and track individual and team progress, coaching associates on how to improve.

Utilize KPI dashboards and other relevant tools during coaching sessions to improve team performance. Analyze sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

Continuously review and refine the inside sales process to maximize efficiency and effectiveness. Streamline workflows, shorten sales cycles, and improve conversion rates. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing and sales, to refine the lead qualification process and drive growth.

Provide comprehensive product, sales, and technology training to the Business Development team. Develop training materials, sales scripts, and sales collateral to support the team's efforts.

Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop sales campaigns and promotional materials to assist team members. Monitor customer satisfaction levels and implement corrective measures when required.

Nature and Scope

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.

  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

  • Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

  • This position is ONSITE building and managing a new team of 10 Sales Specialists in Norcross, GA.

  • 5+ years of proactive inside sales management - REQUIRED.

  • Proficient using KPI dashboards and sales analytics tools to monitor and optimize performance.

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM or related software, ERP, and database management tools.
