Job Description & Qualifications

Job Summary

Responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise for the company's telecommunications technology infrastructure team. Ensure the performance and reliability of all services and exceed the needs of our businesses and clients. Implement processes and technologies to ensure highly available telecom resources are available to users.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

  • Provides support for the organization. Provides level 3 engineering support and consults with customers on telecommunication systems.

  • Assists with new technology research and design to ensure overall level of resources are maintained.

  • Configures and maintains routers, switches, and servers for the telecommunications network. Assists with performing daily database backups on all telecommunications systems.

  • Ensures service level agreements (SLAs) are met and continue to meet the needs of customers. Provides support and resolution for customer issues.

  • Assists in determining the production capacity needed to meet changing business demands. Ensures capacity planning deliverables are performed to specifications.

  • Available for disaster recovery and on call support at all times.

  • Assists with resolution of invoice discrepancy issues.

Nature and Scope

  • Demonstrates skill in data analysis techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in more complex research/data.

  • Nature of work requires increasing independence; receives guidance only on unusual, complex problems or issues. Work review typically involves periodic review of output by a supervisor and/or direct customers of the process.

  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior level support or professional personnel.

Work Environment

  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 2-5 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience in a related field. Certification is required in some areas.

Preferred Qualifications & Job Specific Details

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of telecommunications technology and administration experience required

  • 3-5 years Cisco UCaaS experience

  • 2 years cloud telephony experience

  • 2 years of administrator small contact centers

  • Wiliness to directly partner with branch offices and business units to understand telephony needs

  • Demonstrates the ability to prioritize and organize daily tasks; Must have excellent attention to detail

  • Must have experience managing vendors and tracking project deliverables

  • Must have excellent communication and documentation skills
