Job DescriptionJob Summary

Responsible for providing financial and strategic thought leadership on a wide variety of critical business initiatives to members of the senior leadership team. Contribute to the financial well-being of the business through direction and application of financial tools and analysis.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

Identifies operational issues and opportunities, communicates effectively with key internal stakeholders, and collaborates on strategic initiatives.

Recommends strategic decisions, including acquisitions, divestitures, and business initiatives in a highly sensitive and confidential environment.

Considers capital structure implications of proposed initiatives.

Leads initiatives, supports the annual strategic planning process, and develops long-range roadmaps to improve enterprise resource allocation.

Stays abreast of (1) disclosures made by customers, suppliers, and industry peers, (2) relevant trends in North American macroeconomic indicators in Construction and Infrastructure end-markets, and (3) in financial markets, including interest rates, currency exchange rates, equity and debt trading levels, and commodity inflation rates.

Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and normalizes disparate data from various internal and external sources to create comprehensive financial models. Formulates clear, relevant, and accurate analysis in a format that facilitates execution. Develops, implements, and refines processes to simplify workflows and increase productivity.

Nature and Scope

Solutions require analysis and investigation.

Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.

Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.

Work Environment

Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.

Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.

Typically requires overnight travel less than 5% of the time.

Education and Experience

Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 5+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years related experience, including strong financial statement analysis, in-depth project/business valuation, and ad hoc analysis - Required

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or related quantitative discipline - Required

CFA, MBA, CPA, or comparable qualification - Preferred.

Prior public company experience in corporate development or, corporate finance roles - Preferred.

Experience in investment banking, consulting, or advisory services - Preferred.

Experience with market data platforms, such as Capital IQ, Refinitiv, Bloomberg, or FactSet - Preferred
