Responsible an organization's sustainability programs. Uses a variety of research methods to analyze, report, and provide recommendations for corporate sustainability projects and programs.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
Establishes comprehensive strategies for business sustainability objectives and enhance value creation through execution.
Aligns sustainability efforts with stakeholder feedback and external ESG framework.
Identifies and develops specific sustainability initiatives in collaboration with functional teams.
Supports development of long-term operating plan and identify ESG-specific capital requirements.
Develops and own ESG communications strategy for internal, public, and investor audiences in collaboration with Communications and Investor Relations
Communicates with suppliers and customers on product-based questions, opportunities, and partnerships in collaboration with Sales and Product Category Management.
Develops and manage sustainability data; designs and reports sustainability KPIs and analytics.
Nature and Scope
Solutions require analysis and investigation.
Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience.
Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
No travel required.
Education and Experience
- Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Ability to collaborate and coordinate across multiple functions
Knowledge of common ESG reporting frameworks
Strong data analytic skills with experience collecting and analyzing significant amounts of data
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
